Richard has two decades’ experience analysing the film and TV content markets – initially within home entertainment retail strategy and for the past 17 years as an industry analyst. He advises a broad range of clients, from the Hollywood studios, broadcasters, pay TV operators, regulators to investment firms on the development of media and the entertainment business.
As Research Director at Ampere Analysis, Richard has worked across all our key insight services and is directly responsible for our Markets suite of products focused on industry key performance indicators. Prior to this role he oversaw the development of Ampere’s Commissioning service and Analytics metadata team. Richard has been instrumental in creating and building new film and TV focused products throughout his career, having previously worked at IHS Market and before that Screen Digest. He is an expert in data forecasting and modelling and has created analysis tools focused on VoD services, Theatrical box-office, public-sector TV, pay TV, and telecoms providers.
